College Tuition Prices Have Grown Three Times Faster Than Median Family Income, Says Dean

Dean of the College of Education at Michigan State University Dr. Don Heller put the rising costs of college tuition in perspective during a Senate HELP hearing on the costs of higher education Thursday.

“As you are aware, tuition prices in colleges and universities have skyrocketed. Over the last three decades prices in both public and private institutions have grown more than three times faster than inflation and more importantly, more than three times faster than median family income in our country,” Heller said.
