At an event at the Center for American Progress in Washington D.C. Friday, Alex Johnston, and advisor at Bloomberg Philanthropies and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Policy Innovators in Education Network, said that No Child Left Behind was intended to create accountability through transparency, but ended up “leaving many children behind” instead.
