During her weekly press conference Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that a legislative package to provide relief for farmers affected by the drought is a sign of how ineffective the GOP controlled Congress has become.
Noting that the legislation fell short of a comprehensive Farm Bill, which was removed from the House docket earlier this week, Pelosi described her colleagues on the other side of the aisle as a “do-nothing Republican Congress.”
