At a campaign rally Tuesday, President Obama drew a sharp contrast between Republican plans to cut taxes to wealthy Americans to allow them to create jobs and the administration’s view that wealth does not trickle down from the wealthy, but rather comes from the middle class who would receive tax cuts under Obama.
“[Democrats] believe in an America that says our economic strength doesn’t come from the top down, it comes from the middle out, it comes from the bottom up,” Obama said. “It comes from workers and students, and small business owners, and a strong thriving middle class.”
