WH: Obama Has Not Weighed In On Teachers’ Strike

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters Monday that President Barack Obama is aware of the massive teachers’ strike in Chicago, but has not shared his opinion on the matter.

“More broadly … his principal concern is for the students and families who are affected by this situation,” Carney said. “And we hope that both sides are able to come together to settle this quickly and in the best interest of Chicago’s students.”
