Trump: Job Numbers Will Be Revised Down After Election

The real estate and media mogul speculated that the U.S. Labor Department will update last month's numbers in its November report, which comes out on December 7.

Real estate and media mogul Donald Trump said Monday that the September jobs report, which showed unemployment dropping to 7.8 percent, will be revised down when the federal government releases its first report after the November 6 elections.

Trump, who briefly flirted last year with a run for the Republican ticket, speculated that the Labor Department will update last month’s numbers in the November report, which comes out on December 7. In that report, Trump said, the government will announce that fewer jobs were actually added in August, during which payrolls expanded by 114,000.

Trump made his assertion during an appearance on ABC’s “The View.”
