Report: GSA Administrator Steps Down
The head of the feederal government’s General Services Administration has stepped down, according to a resignation letter obtained by the Washington Post.
The Administrator, Martha Johnson, attributed the decision to “a significant misstep” wherein “tax payer dollars were squandered” at a training conference. The Post reports that the conference took place at a luxury hotel and featured a myriad of entertainment.
“Collectively, the people of GSA now must review, repair and rebuild,” Johnson said.
The Administrator said that President Obama has accepted her resignation.
