The revelation comes amid a flurry of sexual misconduct scandals
Treasury Secretary Jack Lew was questioned Wednesday by lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee over when he learned that the IRS had targeted certain conservative non-profit groups.
“If there’s someone wielding a knife in the parking lot, are you gonna call the Inspector General?” a livid Trey Gowdy asked Doug Shulman.
Despite Republicans getting their way on their provisions, Senator Patrick Leahy was forced to withdraw his amendment on same-sex couples.
“Congress has an obligation to help these families rebuild. Congress also has an obligation to have a serious discussion about how we pay for emergency money that the state rightfully deserves,” Stutzman said in a statement.
