New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) told a townhall audience Wednesday that their state will not take a page from Wisconsin or Ohio and try to limit public employees’ ability to collectively bargain, explaining that he actually supports the practice.
“I love collective bargaining,” Christie said. “Let me at them. Let me out of the cage and let me go.”
Added the Governor, “Let’s have it be real collective bargaining when we have someone in there representing the people paying the bills. “
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (R) has irked the labor community as well as others on the left after announcing his intentions to balance the state’s budget by denying federal employee unions the ability to collectively bargain over their wages.
