White House Names Brett McGurk Next Iraq Envoy

The White House has named Brett McGurk, a former member of the President’s National Security Council and a fellow with the Council on Foreign Relations, as the administration’s next ambassador to Iraq.

McGurk will succeed current ambassador James Jeffrey.
